Hershey, PA

After spending hours at the storage unit reorganizing some items, we left in the wee hours of the morning and headed SW. We found a Lowe’s that had just opened, asked for permission to park the RV and slept for about 4 hours. We drove to Wegman’s for some food and went to Best Buy for a cell charger (because ours had suddenly stopped working) before heading to Hershey, PA to meet some friends for dinner. We timed it to our youngest’s nap time and arrived at 5:30 p.m. for dinner at The Englewood (1219 West End Avenue, Hummelstown, PA 17036).

After dinner, we wanted to let the kids have some outdoor time before heading to bed so our toddler rode his bike on the trail with his dad while I walked/stroller-ed our youngest. The Englewood parking lot has a sidewalk which leads to the Jonathan Eshenour Memorial Trail that also leads into Bullfrog Valley Park. Around 8:30/9 p.m. we headed to the Hershey RV Resort. We learned to hook things up, drain, and receive a part for the hose we didn’t have in the rental from a kind RV neighbor, showered in the RV for the first time and slept.

The next day we went to Hershey Park for Chocolate World. Parking was really easy!

That night, we parked our RV at our friends’ cul-du-sac, spent the day with them and departed around 9:30 p.m. and headed towards Greensboro, NC. We parked overnight at a Walmart in Hillsboro, NC.
