Culinary Rhapsodies: Baw-Loo

31 Dec 2012

Baw Loo is a cool device that my mom has had for years. My mom bought one many years ago to use in our home. Back then, the kitchen stove was gas. Now we live in a home that has electric. Therefore, to use this, we use a gas burner that runs on a gas cassette. We use it for hot pot and it also comes in handy when the lights go out! Back to the purpose of this post. It’s similar to a hot pocket and it’s homemade! Here is how you use it.

Directions:

  1. Butter Baw Loo.
  1. Place a thick slice of bread on one side. Then add your choice ingredients on it. We added meat sauce and cheese! I of course recommend Japanese white bread!
  1. Place another slice of bread on it and close it. There’s a latch to keep it closed.
  1. Place it on the open flame.
  1. Then open the latch, slide it onto a plate and it's ready for consumption!
